Manipulating The Image Week One

This week we learned what a poster is. I looked up the definition of a post on Wikipedia and read that a poster is any piece of printed paper designed to be attached to a wall. When the class was asked to come up with our own definition of a poster we came up with a poster being a way of combining text and image to convey information. They could be used for many purposes such as events , safety , learning , information , festivals , movies , etc. We even looked up some old posters and then tried to make our own afterwards. I actually found this activity to be manageable because writing in different a different font is what i do more than drawing. For my poster i took the original poster "Keep Calm and Carry On" and changed it to say "Keep Calm and Date a Samoan" to make it a little humorous.
