Manipulating the Image Week 2

This week we went more into posters by trying to break down the posters even more with the images and the text that are applied onto the posters that we received. We were also told to look up a poster on the internet and write down everything that we can get from looking at it.

The poster that i chose to do my research on is a poster about the 2nd Annual Island Reggae Festival. I chose this poster because this was the event that i wanted to attend before i moved out here to New Zealand because i enjoyed the first Island Reggae Festival. The poster states all the information that is needed besides the price of the tickets because the prices varied , it all depended on when you bought the tickets. If you bought the tickets before hand then they were $30 , if you bought them at the door they were $50 but i got in for free because the company that i worked for back in the states is linked to Rude Bwoy Entertainment which is named as one of the hosts for the event. The Festival is being held at an amusement park called Great America , looking at the name you can't tell that its an amusement park which is why they put a picture of the amusement park into the posted but just decreased the opacity of the image so that it can blend into the background.
