At the beginning of this week the class went out to the Art Gallery in Papakura to look at the exhibitions that were up for display. We left the school in two vans one driven by Emma Mclellan and the other can driven by Caryline Boreham.
'Recovered' was basically about memories that you can receive from seeing or touching an object. Life for me when ever I see someone riding their bike I always think about when my dad first taught me how to ride a bike and how that day was a special day for me that I can never forget. They say that memoies never fade just the people that you experience those moments with and I honestly feel as if thats true, because even though you might not be thinking about the past all the time once you see something, feel something or hear an old song the memories come rushing in like a storm of waves rushing into cliffs.
'FirstComer' by Caryline Boreham and Renee Bevan were photos that I found interesting because in a unique way there were showing the importance of 'Identity.' Caryline talked to us about their project and how it was just a collaboration that they decided to work on for fun, I believe. It was hard for me to understand her as she spoke to us because with me I'm still trying my best to get what everyone's saying with the accent its hard for me to understand at times.
Another thing that we went over today was about Photoshop and the main tools that we would need to start off with. I found it easy at times because everything on Photoshop is easy to find. I looked up some pictures that people have used photoshop for and it blows my mind sometimes because it just seems like a lot of work to get your photos to look a certain way.
